The South Sumatra 8 power project (PLTU Sumsel-8), also called the Banko Tengah power project, is a 1.3GW mine-mouth coal-fired power plant under construction near the Banko Tengah coal mine in the South Sumatra province of Indonesia. It is being developed as part of Indonesia's 35,000MW power generation programme launched in 2015.
